The Goji berry, a fruit found only in Tibet and Mongolia, provides some extraordinary health benefits. The fruits large amount of antioxidants (seven times the amount in blueberries) works to slow down the affects of aging. Studies show the Goji berry can help lower blood pressure and promotes health in the eyes, liver and kidneys. Goji berries contain 18 amino acids (six times higher than bee pollen), more beta-carotene than carrots, more iron than spinach, Vitamins B1, B2, B6 and E and more Vitamin C by weight than oranges. Plus they're 13% protein. Tibetans say that eating Goji berries will make you happy all day. Eat them long enough, they say, and eventually you can't stop smiling.
The Goji berries in Holly's All Natural Goji Berry Oatmeal may taste to you like a cross between cranberry and cherry. Others describe the taste as raspberry and plum-like.
